Sam
Sam began his career working across AD departments in film and television, gaining a ground-level understanding of production that has informed everything he has done since. That experience led him to the writers' room, where he worked as assistant to Mickey Down and Konrad Kay, creators of BBC/HBO acclaimed drama Industry.
In 2022, Sam co-founded Running Cliché, a Cardiff-based production company built around a commitment to magic realist and comedic storytelling. Sam is passionate about building a production company that champions unconventional stories and new voices, and about putting Wales at the centre of bold, genre-defying filmmaking.

Mahesh
Mahesh Madhu Naidu is a filmmaker, producer and co-founder of Running Cliché Productions. He recently worked as Associate Producer on Stuffed, a BFI and Ffilm Cymru Wales-backed feature starring Jodie Comer.
His work focuses on comedy and drama, with a particular interest in character-driven stories that balance humour with emotional honesty. Mahesh also directed Quackers for BBC iPlayer and made the short film No Evom, which was released on Amazon Prime.
In 2022, Mahesh co-founded Running Cliché, a Cardiff-based production company built around bold, cinematic storytelling. He is passionate about developing original comedy and drama, championing new voices, and creating work that feels playful, human and rooted in Wales.
